Doug Hadden, Vice President, Products Doug Hadden is an industry veteran with an extensive experience in enterprise technologies. Hadden has more than 20 years of management, sales, marketing and product management experience at several industry-leading public and private companies, including Standard Register, Delano Technology, Platform Computing, Hummingbird, and Olivetti. Hadden is a recognized expert in strategic planning and technology in government. As VP Products at FreeBalance, Hadden is responsible for all aspects of global marketing, business development and product management. Hadden is also the Chief Customer Advocate responsible for aligning FreeBalance activities with customer priorities. He holds a BA Honours degree in Political Science from Carleton University. | Mr. Mark J. Dunn Regional Manager for Asia U.S. Trade and Development Agency | | | Mark Dunn is the Regional Manager for Asia at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), based in Bangkok, Thailand. There, he is responsible for managing USTDA’s activities in South and Southeast Asia, directing business development efforts, coordinating with relevant Asian and U.S. government agencies, and marketing USTDA services to potential partners throughout Asia. Mr. Dunn has an intimate understanding of the goals and objectives of USTDA that was obtained through his earlier role as the agency’s Country Manager for China and Mongolia. He served in this position from 2001-2003 and had the opportunity to design and implement a strategy for USTDA’s operations in China, where the Agency had been prohibited from working since 1989. By the time Mr. Dunn left USTDA, the China portfolio had grown to become the largest in the agency. After departing USTDA, Mr. Dunn entered the private sector and continued working throughout Asia, undertaking consulting assignments that focused on the transportation sector. As the Senior Manager at JBC International (Washington, DC), he served as the Project Manager for a Customs Modernization project in China and later acted as a Technical Advisor to the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey to examine supply chain security under the Department of Homeland Security’s Operation Safe Commerce program. From there, Mr. Dunn transferred to TERA International Group, Inc. (Sterling, VA) to be the Senior Technical Manager, as well as oversee all projects originating from the U.S.-based headquarters. The majority of his time was spent in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia undertaking technical assistance and due diligence work for agencies such as the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and USTDA. He developed a medium-term rolling investment plan for Mongolia’s Ministry of Roads, Transport and Tourism and assisted with their long-term Transport Sector Strategy, in addition to undertaking specific infrastructure improvement projects in the road and rail subsectors. Mr. Dunn holds a B.A. in International Relations from Carleton College (Northfield, MN) and an M.A. in International Affairs from American University (Washington, DC), focusing on Asia at both institutions. He has traveled and lived extensively throughout Asia as a student, consultant, and government official. |
